Waiting
expectation, pause, linger, remain, rest, yearn, pine, hang out
At the crossroads
we lost the art
of waiting.
Instant messaging.
Instant food.
Instant social connection.
Instant Starbucks coffee.
Google Instant.
Google is increasing the speed of it's search capability with Google Instant. Just type and results appear right before your eyes, no waiting necessary.
I don't know about you, but Google already felt instant to me.
Gosh, I have most of the information I will ever need at the click of my finger tips.
It's empowering.
Or is it?
Then I remember that
We're soul beings, not just head beings
And
Connection to
the Soul,
Connection
to the
Divine
is not instant.
Nor is connection to one another.
No, it's not instant.
We must
wait, linger, hang out, pause,
for the connections that
transform
love
and make us
feel alive.
Prayer
Spirit
I wait.
I rest.
I anticipate.
I linger.
I pause.
I yearn.
for what is and what is to come.
