I took this photo this morning.
The “lean” of this Weeping Willow reminded me of how our souls naturally want to move towards the sunlight and nourishment.
You can see how this gracious old tree has grown slanted over the course of it’s life. Something prohibited it from growing straight and tall heavenward.
Regardless of conditions, the
need for nourishment pulled the tree toward the best possible position for growth.
I believe our souls do likewise. Our souls will bend backwards, forwards, inside out in an effort to be fed.
So, noticing, listening, responding to the urges of your soul allows it to grow heavenward without the acrobatics.
Soul alignment I suppose is a good way to put it.
Think of a yoga pose. The idea is alignment not necessarily conquering the full extent of the pose. The response and movement that indicates aligment for you isn’t the same for me. We are each unique based on our design and history.
What direction is your soul leaning and what is it looking for? Chances are there’s something in that direction that will nourish your spirit.
Here’s to growing strong and tall in the direction of the sun.
