I just had a great exchange with a client who is reaping the benefits of asking for her heart's desires and celebrating the joy of having received the gift.
The asking felt risky. Not asking felt like a life filled with more of the same unsatisfying sense of lack instead of abundance.
Your soul has desires. Your soul has desires. That repeat was purposeful because it's an important truth to grasp.
As women we hide behind the roles we inhabit, mother, wife or a respected career when in reality those roles may have nothing to do with desire.
Desires like time, joy, space, passion, triumph, peace and creation.
What do you really want but haven't yet requested? What's holding you back and can you imagine your life with it? Are you willing to do the work to attract it by maintaining a "clean" life body, mind and spirit? My client had some work to do in the recesses of her heart and soul and mind. She blew me away with her determination and will to face the truth and move forward. She demonstrated unparalleled courage and hard work to fulfilling her heart's desires.
So here's the deal without the details, she wanted to have her own home to create a sacred, safe space for her and her children to do life together. Given her situation, it seemed impossible. It was a desire that she knew led to her best life. A life of more possibility instead of lack and being mired in the story of their past filled with heart ache. There are times when we are meant to move beyond our old stories and dig deep into our souls for the new story line.
What's the new story line of your soul? Can you be risky enough to make it happen, to ask for what you want and be courageous enough to make it happen?
Let me tell you, it's exciting when you're reaping the benefits of what you dared to ask for.
