I hate pulling a Band-Aid off my tender skin.
It hurts.
Ouch.
The truth is there are “hurts” in life that are far more “ouchy” than removing a Band-Aid.
Hurts arrive in all seasons, expected and surprise attacks.
Knocking us out of kilter.
Stirring our emotions.
They have the power to twist us inside out and upside down and
Frankly, flatline us.
Sometimes they reside just beneath the surface. An undiagnosed dull ache until
The light shines and reveals it’s origin.
Recently, a light shone on my own dull ache.
Several years ago, after ten years abroad, our family repatriated and landed in the Chicago area.
Fresh off the plane, I had recently completed my Master Coach training with Martha Beck, Inc.
I was pregnant with confidence , hope and possibility and more physically fit than I had ever been in my life. I actually had defined muscles…hey, that’s major feat for a confessed non-athlete!
One month later, I broke my ankle, which as an isolated incident, warranted no major drama.
Month after month, events in my life chipped away at my confidence and physical strength.
Culminating last Summer, 2011 and “out of left field,” I discovered what I believed to be fatigue, was my heart’s electrical conduction malfunctioning. In absolute disbelief and shock, I had a pacemaker implanted.
No sympathy requested, I want you to know that when life “hurts” we can help ourselves through the ouch.
Therapeutic essential oils is nature’s rescue during challenging seasons of life.
Aromatherapy is a sensual experience that awakens dulled emotions, calms fears, comforts sorrow and infuses courage.
If there’s a Band-Aid being ripped of your precious, tender skin, perhaps you could use the support of therapeutic essential oils.
May I recommend a few?
Lavender: The great equalizer balancing extreme emotional reactions. The master calmer of all things that seek to destroy one’s peace and harmony.
Clary Sage: Allows you to see beyond your circumstance and create new vision. Calms fears and enhances dream life.
Frankincense: My personal favorite. Fine tunes your connection to spirit and supports meditation and prayer. It is also a master contributor to hormonal well-care and balance.
Lemongrass: The Super Power oil promoting supernatural activity and awareness. Releases and cleanses, helps us let go and be free.
Jasmin: Uplifting, seductive, yes, it will ramp up your dulled senses, concentration and mental accuracy.
Bergamot: She who calms the Central Nervous System and helps you move out of Fight/Flight/Freeze.
Ylang ylang: The queen bee of balance. Equalizes your right and left hemispheres, male and female energy. Heavy hitter that covers all the bases during “ouchy” times. Focuses thoughts, combats anger and low self-esteem and revives confidence.
Please note, this is a small fraction of the essential oils available to assist during ouchy times.
Aromatherapy is the real deal.
Therapeutic essential oils share a similar chemical structure found in human cells and tissues. They are compatible with human protein and are easily recognizable and accepted by the body. Therapeutic essential oils penetrate the blood stream via the skin or lungs and impact cell structure.* They also shift your energetic resonance.
When life hurts, remember you’re not alone and nature has produced powerful balms for your well-care.
